Nero Musqué
Agricoltura biologica / Moscato Nero / certificazione Valoritalia
More than just a sweet wine, it’s a voyage which begins in the Euganean Hills of Northern Italy and completed in Sicily — thanks to the ingenious experimentation carried out almost twenty years ago by Franco Zanovello, who saved this grapevine variety from oblivion. This wine also tells us of the synergy between passionate and tenacious winemakers, who have united their identities in order to launch this special label. It is produced from a finicky and low-yield grapevine, migrating between the different shores of the Mediterranean, finding its ideal place on the top of a tufaceous hill overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Thanks to the mild climate, the sea breeze and the quality of the soil, the result is a sweet and aromatic wine with a unique personality.

Winemaking Process
The grapes are dried on the vine, harvested by hand and transported to the winery in small baskets. Once in the cellar, natural fermentation begins and continues until it stops automatically, at which point the wine is left to rest throughout the winter in steel. It then continues its ageing process in wood for the next two years.
Ageing
Eight months in steel and two years in large oak barrels
Organoleptic properties
Appearance: garnet red with slight orange hues. Nose: rich aroma of plum, dehydrated apricot, candied orange peel, sweet spices and fig jam. Palate: sweet, warm and embracing, soft but surrounded by fine tannins. Pleasantly fresh finish, during which notes of dehydrated fruit re-emerge.
