ITA/ENG – Un sogno collettivo di cura e lavoro giusto: una pratica concreta di acquisto e gestione di una storica Azienda Agricola in difficoltà

ITA// Intendiamo condividere con voi la proposta di un sogno.

Noi Cooperativa Agricola Valdibella, insieme al gruppo Contadinazioni FuoriMercato, durante un pranzo in questa azienda, alla fine di una marcia contadina contro i nuovi OGM e un sistema di sfruttamento delle persone e della terra, ci siamo guardati negli occhi e, intravedendo gli stessi valori, abbiamo pensato di unire le nostre forze per un bellissimo progetto.

Infatti, da quel giorno ci siamo pensate unite nel proporre l’acquisto e la gestione collettiva di un terreno a Camporeale (Palermo) di 5 ettari di superficie coltivata a olivo per 1,5 ettari e a mandorleto per 3,5 ettari, sulla scia di esempi importanti come la realtà belga Ma Ferme https://www.maferme.be/ e la campagna di azionariato popolare lanciato dalle operaie e gli operai dell’ex GKN a Campi Bisenzio (Fi), in lotta da più di tre anni per una transizione ecologica dal basso e un lavoro giusto.

Le due tenute, su cui abbiamo iniziato a sognare, godono di un terreno molto fertile e sono dotate di due laghetti per l’irrigazione. Altre due piccole superfici sono destinate alla coltivazione di ortaggi.

La storia dell’azienda è per noi importante e il processo che vorremmo condividere di cura e gestione per la creazione di una pratica agroecologica e di un meccanismo di garanzia partecipata basato sul lavoro degno e giusto lo è altrettanto.

La realizzazione del progetto s’intreccia con l’idea di formazione, sperimentazione e creazione artistica che sarà curata dalla Scuola Pratica di Agroecologia Valdibella e dal collettivo di Scienza Radicata.

Vogliamo immaginarci presto tutti insieme per dei momenti di socialità, approfondimento e cura in questa terra bellissima nell’entroterra siciliano.

ENG// We are here to share with you the proposal of a dream.

Cooperativa Agricola Valdibella, together with Contadinazioni FuoriMercato, during a lunch in our company, at the end of a peasant march against the new GMOs and a system of exploitation of both people and land, looked each other in the eye and, glimpsing the same values, thought of joining forces for a beautiful project.

In fact, from that day on we thought of ourselves united in proposing the purchase and the collective management of a land in Camporeale (Palermo) of 5 hectares of olive groves for 1.5 hectares and almond groves for 3.5 hectares, in the wake of important examples such as the Belgian reality Ma Ferme https://www.maferme.be/ and the popular shareholding campaign launched by the workers of the former GKN in Campi Bisenzio (Fi), fighting for more than three years for an ecological transition that starts from below, and for fair work.

The two estates, on which we began to dream about this project, enjoy very fertile soil and are equipped with two ponds for irrigation. Two other small surfaces are intended for the cultivation of vegetables.

The history of the company is important to us, as well as the process of care and management that we would like to share for the creation of an agroecological practice and a participatory guarantee mechanism based on dignified and fair work.

The realization of the project is mixed with the idea of ​​training, experimentation and artistic creation that will be curated by the Scuola Pratica di Agroecologia Valdibella and the collective of Scienza Radicata.

We want to imagine ourselves all together soon, for moments of sociality , study and care in this beautiful land in the Sicilian hinterland.
